Contents Page Draft Three

With my third draft I have added a photo of the editor and added a black border around the image keeping conventions of music magazines that use this technique such as Kerrang.

Contents Page Second Draft

My second draft has really improved since the last one, I have added three main pictures, improved the listings along the side and introducing a competition at the bottom right hand corner of the page. Also I have added a message from the editor with some comments about the magazine however I haven't put an image of the editor on just yet.

Contents Page First Draft

My first draft as you can see hasn't got much going on at the moment, we have who and what is featured in the magazine down the right hand side and a masthead with the contents and date title.

Peer Feedback

Having taken on board the peer feedback I received people which was generally all good they seem to like the different types of videos and mood boards I used to explain my front cover. My front cover I will make minor changes to just to improve it, things like making the text bigger and making the bar code smaller. All these small things will make my music magazine better.

I think your blog is really good since you've done loads of posts and done mood boards, diagrams and talked about a few videos. It's also good because you've analysed your images.
 Strengths of front cover: You've used a plug and I like the footer and how you've used the different colours on it. Also I think that the actual front cover image is really good as it help identify your genre. To improve your front cover I would make the bar code align with the posters and maybe make the text on the left and right size a little bit bigger :)

Overall assessment of blog: Well structured and a good layout. Navigation might need font colour change as when some of the text was black I had to highlight the text to find out what I was looking at. But overall I liked looking through the blog as there's some good work here especially in the cover development.

Front cover strengths: Overall it is a nice cover and looks quite good. Consistent use of conventions, all of which work well withing the cover and an interesting image chosen.

Weaknesses: The image could do with a slight lighting adjustment but that's about it.

You have a lot of ideas presented on your blog which is a good thing. I think you have used an effective way of organising your blog chronologically and also you have posted music videos which reflect the genre of the magazine that you have designed.

Your front cover is neatly organised and looks like you had to put in hard work to get your front cover to look like this. You have used three colors on your front cover which is  conventional so that is good that you have used that and it makes your magazine more professional. Overall your use of conventions was great and contributed to it being a great front cover. Your masthead is large so that people could see it on a shelf.
I think that you could have maybe put a few more articles or something else that would help draw somebody to your magazine.
